The National Community Wood Recycling Project – we’re in!

We are now a member of the National Community Wood Recycling Project. It works like a franchise group; we are following the successful business model developed by NCWRP, who support wood recycling projects like us from all over the country.

The NCWRP head office in Brighton will provide us with support and training as we build our social enterprise locally. Their marketing team are busy getting us contracts with building sites operated the national builders they work with. We will collect waste wood from across our allocated region – which stretches along the Guildford/M3 corridor from Kingston to beyond Basingstoke.

All community wood recycling enterprises are set up to:

  • Reduce waste?and save resources by collecting and reusing waste timber that might otherwise end up at landfill ? or at best ?down-cycled? into wood chip.
  • Create jobs, training and volunteering opportunities for people marginalised from the labour market.
