Our official opening event took place on the 7th February 2020. Beryl Hunwicks, mayor of Woking, cut the ribbon with a hand-saw, alongside Jonathan Lord, MP for Woking and Tony Hewat, chair of Trustees for The Useful Wood Company.
Each spoke in turn to the assembled group which included local councillors, leaders of other like-minded local charities and invited supporters of The Useful Wood Company.
A wide selection of cakes displayed on our newly built trade-counter went down well!
All of this helps us to make local community connections stronger.
